[Cytogenetic studies in infertility].

10 TO 15% of all married couples are undesired childless. New investigations show the tendency of a wider increase. Infertility is a possibility caused chromosomaly. In married couples carriers of balanced translocations causing repeated spontaneous abortions in a rate of ten times more than in the normal population. Every 50 married partner is a carrier. Chromosomal cause of infertility should be excluded before an operative therapy is planed and gives a base for genetic counseling.
