Cisternography of the chiasmatic and interpeduncular cisterns in mediotemporal expanding lesions.

A combined angiographic-cisternographic approach is described by which small tumours originating from the medial wall of the temporal lobe can be detected, even when conventional neuroradiological techniques failed to do so. The cisternographic technique used in these cases is described in detail and other applications of this procedure are demonstrated.
