Abstract

OBJECTIVE

To systematically develop Epimedium spp. and control their quality.

METHOD

Using polyamide and macroporous adsorbent resins AB-8. The compounds were identified on the basis of spectrometric data and physical and chemical test.

RESULT

Four flavones were isolated from the herb. They were identified as wushanicariin, baohuoside VI, kaempferol-3,7-O-alpha-L-dirhamnoside and hexandraside E.

CONCLUSION

These flavones were isolated from the herb and identified for the first time.
