Acute myopathic syndromes are very rarely encountered in the static neurological list of illnesses. Most of them have to do with crises, functional myopathia, for example myasthenia, paroxysmal paralyses, etc. The possibilities of therapy are outlined. A certain centralization of myological diagnoses, therapy and rehabilitation seems appropriate.
