The association of a primary cardiac lymphoma in a 53-year-old man with a previously documented myocardial infraction was found. The patient was initially thought to have a recurrent myocardial infraction, but failed to respond to aggressive treatment. The enigma of the clinical course was solved at autopsy by the identification of a primary reticulum cell sarcoma of the heart.
