The study was carried out in 52 patients with a severe course of meningococcal infection. In two of them having meningococcemia and in three with meningococcal meningitis and meningococcemia the disease was complicated by concomitant symptoms of allergic pericarditis. Complex therapy with steroid hormones, antibiotics, oxygen, cardiac glycosides and vitamins was effective in meningococcal infections complicated by myo- and pericarditis but failed to prevent their development.
该研究针对52例患有严重脑膜炎球菌感染病程的患者开展。其中2例患有脑膜炎球菌血症，3例患有脑膜炎球菌性脑膜炎和脑膜炎球菌血症，疾病并发了过敏性心包炎的伴随症状。使用类固醇激素、抗生素、氧气、强心苷和维生素进行的综合治疗，对并发心肌炎和心包炎的脑膜炎球菌感染有效，但未能预防其发生。
