Two patients with thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura (TTP) were treated with daily plasma exchange with fresh frozen plasma of the plasma volume of the body (40 mg/kg . b.w.), in combination with red blood cell transfusion. The clinical symptoms resolved immediately and the parameters of laboratory examination improved promptly after the treatment, and follow-up of the 2 patients revealed no recurrent TTP episodes. This result indicates that plasma exchange is obviously superior to traditional treatment modalities and has significantly changed the course of TTP.
两名血栓性血小板减少性紫癜（TTP）患者接受了每日一次的血浆置换治疗，置换量为全身血浆量（40mg/kg体重）的新鲜冰冻血浆，并联合红细胞输注。治疗后临床症状立即缓解，实验室检查参数迅速改善，对这两名患者的随访显示未出现TTP复发。这一结果表明血浆置换明显优于传统治疗方式，并显著改变了TTP的病程。
