To investigate the alterations of Vitamin E (Vit E) levels in patients with pancreatic adenocarcinoma and explore its mechanism of action.
A comparative analysis of the serum Vit E levels was conducted in patients with various pancreatic diseases.
In patients with acute pancreatitis, chronic pancreatitis and pancreatic adenocarcinoma, serum Vit E levels were significantly lower than those in normal subjects (P<0.05), and among the 3 groups of patients with pancreatic diseases, patients with the malignancies had significantly lower Vit E levels than the other 2 groups of patients (P<0.001).
Significant reduction in Vit E levels occurs in patients with pancreatic adenocarcinoma, indicating that oxidation and anti-oxidation imbalance might be involved in the pathogenesis of the malignancy in the pancreas.
探讨胰腺腺癌患者维生素E(Vit E)水平的变化,并探究其作用机制。
对患有各种胰腺疾病的患者的血清Vit E水平进行对比分析。
急性胰腺炎、慢性胰腺炎和胰腺腺癌患者的血清Vit E水平显著低于正常受试者(P<0.05),在这3组胰腺疾病患者中,恶性肿瘤患者的Vit E水平显著低于其他两组患者(P<0.001)。
胰腺腺癌患者的Vit E水平显著降低,表明氧化与抗氧化失衡可能参与了胰腺恶性肿瘤的发病机制。
