[General anesthesia in patients with toxic goiter].

A report of the author's personal experience with analtesia in 604 patients having toxic goiter is given. During the procedure the effect of various anesthetics on the pulse rate at the time of surgery was studied. It was found that the combined neuroleptanalgesia and a combination of local infiltrative novacain anesthesia with nitrogen monoxide-oxygen narcosis renders the most favourable effect in such cases.
