Abstract
The paper considers the main trends in development and summarizes the results of experimental and clinical investigations of glutamatergic drugs, including the glutamate synthesis and release inhibitors, NMDA receptor antagonists, AMPA receptor antagonists and positive modulants, and metabotropic glutamate receptors ligands.
