To study the expression of the apoptosis regulatory protein bcl-2 in the uterine leiomyomas and in the normal myometrium.
The expression of bcl-2 protein was examined by immunohistochemical ABC staining in 40 cases of uterine leiomyomas and normal myometrium.
bcl-2 expression was higher in the uterine leiomyomas than that in the normal myometrium, both in the proliferative phase and in the secretory phase of the menstrual cycle (P < 0.01); bcl-2 expression in leiomyomas in the secretory phase was stronger than that in the proliferative phase of the menstrual cycle (P < 0.01).
The increase of apoptosis inhabiting gene bcl-2 may play an important role in the growth of the uterine leiomyomas. This action may be regulated by progesterone.
研究凋亡调节蛋白bcl-2在子宫肌瘤及正常子宫肌层中的表达。
采用免疫组织化学ABC染色法检测40例子宫肌瘤及正常子宫肌层中bcl-2蛋白的表达。
在月经周期的增殖期和分泌期,子宫肌瘤中bcl-2的表达均高于正常子宫肌层(P<0.01);分泌期子宫肌瘤中bcl-2的表达强于增殖期(P<0.01)。
凋亡抑制基因bcl-2的增加可能在子宫肌瘤的生长中起重要作用。这一作用可能受孕激素调节。
