Abstract

OBJECTIVE

To objectively evaluate the effect of hearing aids.

METHOD

The procedure involved eliciting ABRs by clicks and slow vertex response (SVRs) by tone pips to the aided and unaided ear presented in sound field.

RESULT AND CONCLUSION

There has high relativity between the thresholds of SVRs and free field pure tone audiometry. There has no significant difference between the gains from SVRs and free field pure tone audiometry.
