A non-invasive measuring system is developed for the assessment of gastric evacuation and motility by means of epigastric impedance measurement. FIR digital filters realized on personal computer were used for signal filtering and cancellation of respiratory interference. Electrodes of concentric type placed anterior and posterior were proved to be more effective for epigastric impedance measurement.
