Four patients sustained tissue due to indwelling catheters, three of which were in radial arteries and one of which was in the dorsalis pedis artery, In one of the patients, septic thrombosis was demonstrated. The risk of such complications can be minimized by precannulation evaluation of the arterial circulation of the extremity, by proper care of the catheter when in place, and by careful observation for clinical evidence of infection, ischemia, and other treatable problems.
4例患者因留置导管出现组织损伤，其中3例位于桡动脉，1例位于足背动脉。在1例患者中发现了感染性血栓形成。通过对肢体动脉循环进行插管前评估、在导管留置期间进行妥善护理以及仔细观察感染、缺血和其他可治疗问题的临床证据，可以将此类并发症的风险降至最低。
