Abstract
The chronic administration of piracetam over a period of four weeks in patients with heavy cerebrocraneal traumas led to a significant decrease in the retina sensitivity threshold and in the sensomotor response delay time. It is suggested that the increase in the sensitivity is related to the nootrope effect upon the GABAergic processes in the retina.
