The capacity of plants for hibernation is ensured by the presence of significant food resources, like in hibernating mammals. In plants, these resources are accumulated in autumn due to maintenance of the rates of true CO2 assimilation elevated with reference to the dark respiration. This becomes possible as a result of higher thermoresistance of photosynthesis, as compared to respiration, and low light requirements for photosynthesis saturation at low positive or negative temperatures.
植物的冬眠能力是由大量食物资源的存在来保证的,就像冬眠的哺乳动物一样。在植物中,这些资源在秋季积累,这是由于相对于暗呼吸而言,真正的二氧化碳同化速率得以维持在较高水平。这之所以成为可能,是因为与呼吸作用相比,光合作用具有更高的耐热性,并且在低正温度或负温度下,光合作用达到饱和所需的光照条件较低。
