[Determination of radio-iodine in struma cysts with regard to radio-iodine kinetics].

After oral administration iodine 131 is demonstrable within hours and days in thyroid cyst fluid. This iodine concentration may be caused by active metabolism in the cyst, depending on thyroid function. Highest levels of iodine 131 are found in autonomous nodules.
