Abstract
OBJECTIVE
To describe the function and levels of analysis performed by members of the Laboratory Response Network in coping with biological agents of terrorism.

CONCLUSIONS
The Laboratory Response Network is designed to enable rapid, safe, and accurate diagnosis of disease in order to mobilize the nation's response to acts of bioterrorism.
