To observe PCNA, Bcl-2 gene expression and their relationship with clinicopathologic factors in primary nasopharyngeal carcinoma(NPC).
PCNA, Bcl-2 proteins were assayed with immunohistochemical technique.
The expression of Bcl-2 protein was 9.5% in chronic inflammation of nasopharyngeal epithelium(CINE), which was significantly lower than it in NPCs with 83.1% (P < 0.01). In NPCs, we could find PCNA and Bcl-2 expression were significantly negatively correlated with each other(rs = -0.41, P < 0.01). In our study, there was some correlation in the grade of PCNA proliferating index(PI) with the clinical stages or cervical lymph node metastasis of NPCs.
PCNA PI may represent the proliferative state of NPC, Bcl-2 protein may be a better tumor marker of NPC, all of them may play important roles in the pathogenesis of nasopharyngeal carcinoma.
观察增殖细胞核抗原(PCNA)、Bcl-2基因在鼻咽癌(NPC)中的表达及其与临床病理因素的关系。
采用免疫组化技术检测PCNA、Bcl-2蛋白。
鼻咽上皮慢性炎症(CINE)中Bcl-2蛋白表达率为9.5%,显著低于鼻咽癌中的83.1%(P<0.01)。在鼻咽癌中,PCNA与Bcl-2表达呈显著负相关(rs=-0.41,P<0.01)。本研究中,PCNA增殖指数(PI)分级与鼻咽癌的临床分期及颈部淋巴结转移存在一定相关性。
PCNA PI可反映鼻咽癌的增殖状态,Bcl-2蛋白可能是鼻咽癌较好的肿瘤标志物,它们在鼻咽癌的发病机制中可能起重要作用。
