[Place of consensus type interferon alpha in the management of chronic type C hepatitis].

This paper presents the results of clinical investigations of efficacy of consensus type interferon (Alfacon-1) in monotherapy, as well as in combination with ribavirin. A special indication for this kind of interferon are "difficult" patients with high virial load non-responders for previous treatment, as well as with recurrence of infection.
