Abstract
Cardiovascular effects of microinjection of neuropeptide Y (NPY) into the lateral septal nucleus (LS) were investigated in anaesthetized rats. The microinjection gave rise to a significant increase in blood pressure and heart rate. The pressure response was dose-dependent but the tachycardia was not. Control injection of 0.9% saline into LS produced no haemodynamic response.

在麻醉大鼠中研究了向外侧隔核（LS）微量注射神经肽Y（NPY）的心血管效应。微量注射导致血压和心率显著升高。压力反应呈剂量依赖性，但心动过速并非如此。向LS对照注射0.9%生理盐水未产生血流动力学反应。
