From 1983 to 1989, ninety-two in hospital cases of surgically treated thyroglossal duct cysts were reviewed. 4 patients (4%) were found to have metaplastic changes of the lining epithelium. Recurrence and the potential for malignancy are two main problems in the treatment of thyroglossal duct cyst. We advocate the Sistrunk procedure to be the choice of surgical treatment for thyroglossal duct cyst.
1983年至1989年，对92例接受手术治疗的甲状舌管囊肿住院病例进行了回顾。发现4例患者（4%）的衬里上皮有化生改变。复发和恶变可能性是甲状舌管囊肿治疗中的两个主要问题。我们主张Sistrunk手术是甲状舌管囊肿手术治疗的首选。
