[Hereditary transferrin system in healthy subjects and schizophrenic patients].

Hereditary polymorphism of transferrin is studied by means of starch gel electrophoresis in a group of healthy inhabitants of Minsk (250 persons) and in a group of schizophrenic patients (128 persons). It is concluded that the inhabitants of Minsk do not differ considerably from the population, living in the European territory by distributing the frequency of transferrin alleles. No considerable differences are found between the group of healthy people and schizophrenic patients.
