A series of patients with multiple sclerosis, most of whom had had the disease a long time, had no clinical response to therapy with a protein enzyme preparation (Entozyme(R)) over a period of 12 to 24 months. They did, however, show an improvement in the chylomicron index and in albumin concentration in the blood serum.
