Abstract

Polymorphonuclear leukocytes of 30 patients suffering from Trisomy 21 between the ages of 3 months and 21 years were examined by means of a modified NBT-test. Ingestion capacity as well as NBT reduction capacity of polymorphonuclear leukocytes showed a decrease in dependence on the age of the patients examined. It is supposed that both disorders are involved in endangering patients with Trisomy 21 by infections.

采用改良的硝基蓝四氮唑(NBT)试验,对30例年龄在3个月至21岁之间的21三体综合征患者的多形核白细胞进行了检测。多形核白细胞的吞噬能力以及NBT还原能力均显示出随受检患者年龄的增加而下降。据推测,这两种功能障碍均参与了21三体综合征患者受感染威胁的过程。
