[Identification of the lipids liberated by the isolated intestine from Periplaneta americana after ingestion of doubly labeled tripalmitine].

It has been shown by incubation of isolated midgut from Periplaneta americana fed double labelled triglycerides (3H glycerol, 14C oleic acid) that mostly triglycerides but also diglycerides and free fatty acids are released by the midgut. Fed triglycerides have been hydrolysed, then resynthetised before being released.
