[The characteristics of the intrathoracic complications of suppurating echinococcal liver cysts].

Using the material from 48 patients with intrathoracic complicated festered liver echinococcus cysts, the variations of break and the localization of connections between festered liver echinococcus cysts and thoracic organs were characterized. The pathological processes in the organs of the pleural cavity were described. A classification of intrathoracic complications proposed by the authors permits one to avoid diagnostical and tactical mistakes and to decrease human mortality.
