Abstract

Recent Research on small children has infused Schultz-Hencke's concepts of intentionality and the experiencing of drives with new relevance. Because of the fundamental similarities between Schultz-Hencke's work and psychoanalytical infant research, Lichtenstein's theory of motivation is being compared to Schultz-Hencke's experiencing of drives.
