The healthcare system is facing unique challenges that are distinct from the issues that face any other type of organization or corporation. Leadership in this milieu requires an equally distinct set of skills and knowledge. Leatt and Porter offer a theoretical analysis of leadership development, yet more needs to be done to probe into the challenge of providing leadership in the healthcare continuum.
