At the 2003 HIV Prevention Conference, researchers presented a sobering picture of the remaining challenges in the battle to reduce HIV transmission as well as the struggle to increase HIV testing and treatment. While a new HIV diagnostic test brings hope, several problem areas still need to be addressed.
