To study the role of platelet activating factor (PAF) in the pathogenesis of secretory otitis media (SOM).
The content of PAF in blood plasma and middle ear effusion(MEE) were measured in 56(68years) patients with secretory otitis media and in 40 normal subjects respectively by RP-HPLC.
The concentration of PAF in MEE was remarkably higher than those in blood plasma (P < 0.01). The concentration of PAF in blood plasma in the SOM group was higher than those in the normal control group(P < 0.05). The concentration of PAF of MEE in the mucous fluid group was higher than those in the serous fluid group(P < 0.01).
PAF might be an important mediator in MEE of SOM, it might be closely related to the persistence of SOM, and might play an important role in the pathogenesis of SOM.
研究血小板活化因子(PAF)在分泌性中耳炎(SOM)发病机制中的作用。
分别采用反相高效液相色谱法(RP-HPLC)测定56例(68耳)分泌性中耳炎患者血浆及中耳积液(MEE)中PAF的含量,以及40例正常对照者血浆中PAF的含量。
中耳积液中PAF浓度显著高于血浆(P<0.01)。分泌性中耳炎组血浆中PAF浓度高于正常对照组(P<0.05)。黏液性中耳积液组PAF浓度高于浆液性中耳积液组(P<0.01)。
PAF可能是分泌性中耳炎中耳积液中的重要介质,可能与分泌性中耳炎的迁延不愈密切相关,在分泌性中耳炎的发病机制中可能起重要作用。
