Abstract
The authors report the case of an 81 year old woman with a Merkel cell tumor (trabecular carcinoma, cutaneous neuroendocrine carcinoma). A review of the literature is used to recall the principal clinical and pathological characteristics of this rare tumor and to define treatment modalities.
