Using the 'ground glass method', the forehead seborrheic index of 72 patients was determined before and during local treatment with promestriene 1% in a o/w base. In hyperseborrheic patients a significant decrease of the seborrheic index was obtained from the 3rd week of treatment and maintained for all its duration, while in normoseborrheics no change was observed under the same conditions. It may be concluded that promestriene reduces the sebum secretion but only in hyperseborrheic patients.
采用“磨砂玻璃法”，在72例患者局部使用1%普罗雌烯水包油基质制剂治疗前及治疗期间测定其前额皮脂溢指数。在皮脂溢过多的患者中，从治疗第3周起皮脂溢指数显著下降，并在整个治疗期间保持，而在皮脂分泌正常的患者中，在相同条件下未观察到变化。可以得出结论，普罗雌烯可减少皮脂分泌，但仅在皮脂溢过多的患者中有效。
