Observation of steady streamings in a solution of Mg-ATP and acto-heavy meromyosin from rabbit skeletal muscle.

Steady streaming of the solution was observed for more than one and a half hours in a circular slit between two concentric cylinders where rabbit skeletal F-actin was fixed on to the wall of the slit and heavy meromyosin was in the Mg-ATP solution in the slit. The streaming only appeared when the actomyosin-ATPase activity was present in the system.
