Hemangioma of the liver is a benign tumor of vascular origin. Most of them are less than 2-3 cm in diameter and remain asymptomatic. Although hemangioma is the most frequent benign tumor of the liver large symptomatic hemangiomas, so-called 'giant' hemangiomas, are rare. In this paper a case of 'giant' hepatic hemangioma measuring 15 cm in diameter, seen in a middle aged Samoan woman, is presented. Clinical, pathological and therapeutical features are discussed.
肝血管瘤是一种血管源性良性肿瘤。大多数肝血管瘤直径小于2 - 3厘米，且无任何症状。尽管肝血管瘤是肝脏最常见的良性肿瘤，但有症状的大肝血管瘤，即所谓的“巨大”肝血管瘤却很罕见。本文报告了一例直径达15厘米的“巨大”肝血管瘤病例，患者为一名中年萨摩亚女性。文中对其临床、病理及治疗特征进行了讨论。
