During the past decades, the incidence of skin cancers has been on the rise in Wallonia as in other regions of similar latitude in the rest of the world. Awareness of the population to the dangers of sun exposure and to the benefit of early cancer diagnosis is of the upmost importance and undisputed. The impact of the information delivered by the media and of the actions initiated by physicians is heterogeneous. The positive and unquestionable aspect is hampered if the population at risk is not properly targeted. It is also reduced if the problem understanding creates a surge in telly-belly syndrome.
在过去几十年里，与世界其他纬度相似地区一样，瓦隆地区皮肤癌的发病率一直在上升。民众对阳光照射危害以及早期癌症诊断益处的认识至关重要且无可争议。媒体所传递信息以及医生所采取行动的影响是参差不齐的。如果没有正确针对高危人群，那么积极且毋庸置疑的方面就会受到阻碍。如果对问题的理解引发了“电视肚综合征”激增，其影响也会减弱。
