Trauma to anterior teeth can be devastating to patients and also can present a variety of clinical challenges for the restorative dentist. Although many solutions exist today to restore or replace damaged anterior teeth, the management of hard tissue, soft tissue, and the resulting esthetic outcome can be unpredictable and undesirable. This case report demonstrates the use of forced eruption in restoring a severely fractured central incisor. Knowledge of the anatomy and physiology of the dentogingival complex will achieve predictable and esthetic results.
