Abstract
In this paper we deal with the social structure of a honeybee colony. Kind of interactions among the individuals of the three castes relatively to their task (queen, drone, workers) are recorded. Moreover taxonomic and biological information is given on the Varroa mite, Varroa destructor (Acari: Varroidae) and its interaction with the host.
