[Laparoscopy-controlled herniorrhaphy of direct and indirect inguinal hernias. Technique and initial experiences].

A new method of closing the neck of the hernial sac of direct and indirect hernias is described. Using a special needle (awl) under laparoscopic monitoring, U-stitches are placed and then knotted epifascially. The hernial sac itself remains in situ. No alloplastic material is employed.
