The future of arthroscopy as an intervention in the management of patients with arthritis will depend largely on developments in technology and wider use of the procedure. With the capability of performing office arthroscopy, large-scale clinical studies will help improve both the diagnosis and management of rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis.
