A police crackdown in Vancouver's Downtown Eastside (DTES) displaced the drug scene to adjacent areas and may have exacerbated the health and social harms associated with injection drug use. This is the finding of a study published in the Canadian Medical Association Journal by Evan Wood and his colleagues at the British Columbia Centre for Excellence in HIV/AIDS.
