[Malignant tumors of the external ear].

A number of cases with carcinoma of the auricular concha, carcinoma, cilindroma and sarcoma of the external acoustic meatus are analyzed after a thorough literature survey. The opinion is set forth that insatisfactory results in the treatment of malignant tumours of the external ear should be attributed to the delay of undertaking effective therapeutical measures. Operative menagement with subsequent radiation therapy is recommended in X-ray sensitive neoplasms.
