To examine the relationship between chronic secretory otitis media and speech delay in infants.
Twenty infants with speech delay, because of chronic secretory otitis media, were retrospectively analyzed.
Twenty infants hearing become normal and their language developed rapidly after tube insertion.
Speech delay in infants were partly related to chronic secretory otitis media and associated hearing loss. The chronic secretory otitis media in infants should be treated positively.
