HHS' inspector general's office recently had some good news for four hospitals--they can use gain-sharing programs to help cut spending on devices. Joane Goodroe, left, is the consultant who helped the facilities devise proposals with safeguards that could satisfy the feds' worries about violating antikickback laws.
