[The plotting of intraventricular pressure-volume diagrams using intracardiac impedance volumetry].

The theoretical and practical aspects of a method for continuous measurements of the left ventricular volume are reviewed. The method is based on high frequency intracardiac impedance measurements. The mathematic model, results of computer simulation are given as are equations for calculating the volume of the left ventricle of the heart. A computer program for measurements automation and the plotting of intraventricular pressure-volume diagrams is described.
