To investigate the role of transnasal endoscope in the diagnosis and treatment of sphenochoanal polyp.
Three cases of sphenochoanal polyp underwent transnasal endoscopic polypectomy and sinus surgery.
The patients were free of nasal obstruction and headache after operation. There were no recurrence and complications in the average 12 months of follow-up period.
Endoscopic examination and CT scan are important in the diagnosis of sphenochoanal polyp. Endoscopic sinus surgery (ESS) is the treatment of choice in the management sphenochoanal polyp.
