[Dermatomyositis/polymyositis associated with head and neck malignancy].

OBJECTIVE
To observe the relation between dermatomyositis/polymyositis and head-neck malignancy.
METHOD
All 136 cases of dermatomyositis/polymyositis admitted to PUMCH during 10 years (1994-2003) were studied. The clinical features of 6 patients with an associated head-neck malignancy were analyzed.
RESULT
There were 17 cases of malignancy in 136 patients with dermatomyositis/polymyositis, of which, 6 cases (6/17, 35.29%) were found to have head-neck malignancy: 4 cases of nasopharyngeal carcinoma, 1 case of non-Hodgkin lymphoma and 1 case of hypopharynx carcinoma.
CONCLUSION
Nasopharyngeal carcinoma represents the first neoplasm among head-neck malignancy associated with dermatomyositis/polymyositis. Nasal endoscopic and/or fibrolaryngoscopic search for potential head-neck malignancy should be performed in every patient with dermatomyositis/polymyositis.
目的
观察皮肌炎/多肌炎与头颈部恶性肿瘤之间的关系。
方法
对10年间（1994 - 2003年）收治于中国医学科学院北京协和医院的136例皮肌炎/多肌炎患者进行研究。分析6例合并头颈部恶性肿瘤患者的临床特征。
结果
136例皮肌炎/多肌炎患者中有17例发生恶性肿瘤，其中6例（6/17，35.29%）为头颈部恶性肿瘤：4例鼻咽癌，1例非霍奇金淋巴瘤，1例下咽癌。
结论
鼻咽癌是皮肌炎/多肌炎相关头颈部恶性肿瘤中的首要肿瘤。对于每例皮肌炎/多肌炎患者均应进行鼻内镜和/或纤维喉镜检查以寻找潜在的头颈部恶性肿瘤。
