Abstract
BACKGROUND
Complications associated with herpes zoster are primarily sensory, but motor involvement, especially in late life, can be part of the symptom complex.
CASE REPORT
We report a case of herpes zoster with motor neuropathy in a 66-year-old female. Eighteen months after diagnosis and treatment, the patient is regaining muscular strength in the affected limb.
DISCUSSION
Treatment of motor neuropathy mainly consists of physical and occupational therapy. Most patients achieve functional recovery.
