The study aimed to investigate the anatomy of the lateral nasal wall to provide a set of measurements among some important anatomical landmarks and to reveal the relationship between them.
Fifty half heads were dissected to determine the distances between important landmarks in the lateral nasal wall for endoscopic sinus surgery. Landmarks were measured with an electronic caliper. This study was carried out between December 2002 and February 2003 at the Anatomy Research Laboratory, Faculty of Medicine, Akdeniz University, Antalya, Turkey.
Results were provided as mean +/- standard deviation. In our study, some of the critical distances as in the lateral nasal wall were measured and results showed consistency to the data found in the literature.
Our results are useful to achieve safe endoscopic sinus surgery.
本研究旨在探究鼻侧壁的解剖结构，以提供一些重要解剖标志之间的一组测量数据，并揭示它们之间的关系。
解剖50个半侧头部，以确定鼻侧壁中用于鼻内镜鼻窦手术的重要标志之间的距离。使用电子卡尺测量标志。本研究于2002年12月至2003年2月在土耳其安塔利亚阿克德尼兹大学医学院解剖学研究实验室进行。
结果以平均值±标准差表示。在我们的研究中，测量了鼻侧壁中的一些关键距离，结果与文献中的数据一致。
我们的结果有助于实现安全的鼻内镜鼻窦手术。
