Medical doctors performing pregnancy terminations in Family Planning Clinics are especially involved in Chlamydia screening and treatment. More than 90% of them are GP. Screenings are done : at patient's request; when risk factors or significant symptoms are present; always before any intrauterine invasive act. In our region, the population detected Chlamydia carrier is around 6 % and essentially feminine. The best screening campains won't succeed to an incidence decrease as long as they remain centred only on feminine population. The screen men for Chlamydia became now so easy (by PCR technique on urine sample), that it should be proposed by the GP to all "risky male".
